 Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I book you?

After looking through my portfolio if you want to move forward to the booking, send me an inquiry and tell me everything about you.

I’ll get in touch with you so we can get to know each other. I will make sure to provide all necessary information.

A 50% non-refundable retainer fee for date reservation. The rest is due before the event date.

  • We're not local to Portland, and our wedding won't be either. Can we still book you?

Yes, you can! I have traveled all over the U.S. to capture love. I also fly to Austin, CA and Nasvhille regularly. Follow my instagram to check my traveling sessions schedule. If you catch me somewhere during my traveling sessions, travel fees are waived :) When it’s I love traveling, and I’m 100% location inspired. I would love to be the people who can be there for you, anywhere, to tell your story. Send me a message and let me know your dream destination, in the U.S. or worldwide, and you can count on me to be there.

  • Do you offer prints & albums?

Of course! There's nothing more beautiful than the tangible. All wedding photography includes print rights. You're welcome to use my vendor for albums and other print products, but you're not required to.

  • How far in advance should we book you?

If your wedding date is a Saturday or Sunday between the months of June and September, I suggest you book 9-12 months in advance because these are peak wedding dates and often are the first to be booked. September especially is the most popular month for weddings of the year and we are often completely booked for September dates at least a year in advance. That doesn't mean you shouldn't get in touch!

  • How many photos do you usually deliver?

It depends! My typical range is 600-800 for weddings and 300-500 for elopements. I aim for quality over quantity though and will deliver any and all photos that express the emotion and beauty of your day. Couples  and family session galleries often have 60+ images.

I always promise 50 photos per hour so you get an idea of how many photos you’ll receive. However, each wedding is unique in its own way and we always make sure to capture plenty of photos for each moment of the day.

I also don’t cap at a certain amount of photos. When you hire me, you don’t just hire another vendor, you gain a friend. I’m that friend who values you and all the important memories on your special day. So I will deliver all the photos that will tell your story so your children, grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren one day can look at and learn about you.

Quality is always over quantity. With that being said, I always underpromise and overdeliver. This has been my philosophy with everything in life and in business.

  • Do you deliver raw images?

I don’t ever give out RAW photos. Every photo you receive will be edited to ensure consistency in colors, brightness, and mood.

  • What’s your turnaround time?

For engagement, my promise is 4 weeks. For elopements and weddings, I promise 8 weeks.

Truly, you have the rest of your life to look at these photos so I want to make sure you get the best of us and not something I have to rush in order to meet some crazy fast deadline.

  • Do you photoshop your clients?

From day one, my photography is always about celebrating love and authenticity. I share photos of all my clients no matter how they look because we want YOU to know that YOU are beautiful because we are all unique and different and important.

I won’t photoshop you taller or skinnier. I won’t photoshop the scar on your forehead that is a part of your identity. I won’t photoshop to alter what is real and true for you.

I often photoshop out temporary blemishes like bruises and acnes. And of course, I always ask about your “favorite side” so we can pose you a bit better

  • Do your packages include a second photographer?

No. I am 100% comfortable photographing weddings alone. If you'd like to discuss whether or not having a second photographer is right for your day, mention it and we can go over the timeline of your day and find a solution that is right for you.
